Pat Tierney hired as Varsity Head Coach

Dear Lacrosse players, parents and supporters…

Pat Tierney was named head lacrosse coach for the Ponderosa Lacrosse program on October 4, 2011. Pat grew up in New Jersey and played lacrosse for Montclair High School. He attended Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland and played Division 1 lacrosse under Coach Dave Cottle. He then was drafted by the New Jersey Arrows, the first professional lacrosse league, that unfortunately folded in the first year. Currently, Pat continues to play in competitive Men’s club leagues. Since 2001, Pat has lived in Colorado and has been coaching both his daughter and son. Over the past two years, he helped coach a Parker Hawks team, that finished their 8th grade season with a record of 34-1.

“My immediate goal will be finalizing our coaching staff for the upcoming winter and spring leagues. Any successful program should have consistency amongst its program’s teams and players, whether they are freshman or senior players. I also want to continue to cultivate the youth programs in Parker that will feed our program with future players. I am both honored and excited to be a part of the Ponderosa Lacrosse program and I look forward to getting to know the players and their families.”
